Kate Pabai is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner with a huge passion for mental health, whose care is centered on incorporating the medical as well as the mental health needs of her clients. She provides extensive psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacological treatment initiation, and monitoring for both acute and chronic mental health problems. Kate has worked in a variety of settings including medical, surgical, stroke, dialysis, behavioral units, and case management before having two years plus experience in out patient mental health clinic treating patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorder of anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD just to name a few In 2016, Kate obtained her Bachelor of Science from Bowie State University. After having some experience at the bedside and seeing the need for mental health professionals, she decided to perused a master's degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2018. Kate's passion for mental health is unmeasurable, and she knows that treating patients with mental problems takes a special person who is empathetic and who can listen and understand each client with individualized and personalized care.
In the first session, i like to briefly introduce myself before addressing the issues of which you are seeking care.
The treatment approach I will utilize is gathering history and using DSM 5 criteria questions to conduct a comprehensive assessment of both medical and mental health and use diagnostic tools such as the PHQ -9, GAD-7 , and Adult ADHD self-reporting scale, just to name a few to initiate treatment best.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am well vest in treating patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, schizophrenia spectrum, ADHD, sleep problem, eating disorders, and many other disorders.
Kate will see patients from 6 years through the lifespan.
