My primary focus is providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to optimize mental health outcomes through detailed medical history reviews, comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, and evidence-based medication management. Beyond clinical treatment, I am dedicated to empowering patients through psychoeducation and practical, individualized strategies that help them navigate mental health challenges, build resilience, and achieve lasting emotional well-being.
My primary focus is delivering comprehensive care and improving patient outcomes through detailed medical history reviews, thorough psychiatric evaluations, and expert medication management.
First session
In our first meeting - intake session - we’ll gather details about why you're seeking care so I can develop a diagnosis and a treatment plan customized just for you. **Please Note:** You must be physically present in Virginia during our session and all subsequent follow-up visits. If you are in a vehicle, it must be safely parked and not in motion.
Strengths
My whole-person approach focuses on your overall well-being—physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health—rather than just treating an illness or condition. Each treatment plan is personalized to your unique needs, goals, and readiness for change.
Ideal clients
I work with clients who may be struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, Trauma/PTSD, and sleep disorders. I engage my clients in developing treatment plans specifically for their needs. Most of my clients start to feel better within the first few months, with steady progress thereafter. I offer Telehealth sessions only. I'm mostly available on weekends to fit your busy work schedule & late evenings on weekdays upon request.
Treatment methods
Supportive
Supportive therapy is a patient-centered approach that helps patients feel heard, understood, and emotionally supported while developing healthy coping strategies. I use supportive therapy to build trust, provide reassurance, validate patients’ feelings, and help them navigate emotional challenges. I encourage open communication, active listening, and problem-solving to strengthen patients’ confidence and resilience. I also help patients identify their strengths, recognize progress, and develop practical strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and other life difficulties. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel empowered to participate in their care and improve their overall emotional well-being. However, if you need in-depth weekly therapy, a referral to an appropriate counselor will be provided.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use Mindfulness-based therapy to help patients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations while learning to respond to stress in a calm, nonjudgmental way. I guide patients through mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing, grounding exercises, meditation, and present-moment awareness to help them manage anxiety, stress, and emotional distress. I encourage patients to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment and to focus on the present rather than becoming overwhelmed by past experiences or future concerns. I also help patients incorporate mindfulness practices into their daily routines to improve emotional regulation, concentration, and overall well-being. My goal is to empower patients with practical tools to manage their symptoms, build resilience, and improve their quality of life.
