(she/her)
If you are looking for a warm, welcoming place to discuss any issue, thought, or problem you've been dealing with without judgment or closed-mindedness, then I could be a great fit for you! I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and I'm licensed as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts since 2018. I have a very friendly, laid-back personality and am always eager to help. I use a lot of humor in my general approach; however, I am also very comfortable working through serious and difficult subjects in a calm, supportive way. I'm a very happy, positive person and can always find a silver lining in almost any situation! I’ve been in the human services field since 2011, and my experience is very diverse. I have a lot of experience with substance abuse, depressive and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and ADHD, both through inpatient, outpatient, and community-based treatment. Additionally, I have experience with domestic violence, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), foster care regulations, and the Massachusetts legal system. I’ve also worked with clients of all ages from all kinds of ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds. Once we build a positive relationship with open and honest communication, I am confident I can help and support you in reaching your goals! A promise to you, as my client: I will always work at your pace, so you'll never feel rushed, and we'll always focus on whatever issue you feel is most important or urgent. Remember, you know yourself better than anyone else ever could, so I will never assume that I know what's best. My job is to listen, support, and provide you with the tools to be able to manage your feelings and your life, so you can accomplish the things you hope to achieve!
We'll typically start by talking about my work background and approach to therapy, and then we'll focus on your intake form and what brought you here seeking support. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about therapy, my experience, or the treatment process at any time. I'll guide you by asking questions if you get stuck and don't know where to go, so don't worry about having "something to talk about" in the first or any session.
I believe that my main strength is providing a comfortable, relaxed, safe place for people to share anything without feeling judged or scolded. I am understanding and accepting of everyone, and I can rationalize anything based on the situation, which often explains the reason for behaviors or choices that aren't the best for us -- and that's okay! Because we are all human and we all need support sometimes! I also run a very free-flowing type of session, without a lot of structure. This is great for some people, but not a perfect fit for everyone, so I definitely encourage feedback for anything I can do differently to help you. I do use a lot of humor (when appropriate). I find laughter to be very cathartic and healing.
I work particularly well with clients who struggle with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse issues. I'm also familiar with those who have past trauma and issues with domestic violence. I'm LGBTQIA+ friendly and happy to work with any gender, race, sexuality, or religion without judgment.

Finding the therapist can be hard and kinda scary because you have to find someone you connect with (Kinda like dating!) I’m really happy I connected with Jamie. She is helping me through a challenging time in my life and I feel I finally found a therapist that gets me, validates what I’m going through, helps me organize my thoughts and makes me feel heard/seen. 100% recommend!
