(she/her)
Graduating with honors, I earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Visionary Leadership degree from Colorado Christian University and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree for Advanced Practice nursing with a specialty in psychiatry across the lifespan, from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have been practicing for more than 15 years and have multi-state licensures, including Texas, Ohio, Arizona, and Florida with others pending. As a doctorate-prepared practitioner, I have an affinity for education and continue to expand my research and knowledge, thus using evidence-based treatment to facilitate the best possible outcomes for my patients. I perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and treat mental health disorders in individuals, from pediatrics to geriatrics. These disorders include, but are not limited to, depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia/psychotic disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), autism spectrum disorders (ASD), anxiety disorders, eating disorders, sleep disorders, and substance use disorders. With a safe, focused, and holistic approach to treatment via medication management, I profoundly advocate for patients throughout their treatment while demonstrating cultural awareness, sensitivity, diversity, and inclusion support. I empower my patients by educating them on their diagnoses and treatment while encouraging active participation in their care plans. Each patient is approached as a valued individual and their care is tailored as such. It is my mission to promote lifelong wellness by integrating spiritualty and Christianity into my comprehensive, therapeutic model of psychiatric care and advocacy for all patients, whom I am honored to serve.
During our first session, I will perform a thorough psychiatric evaluation, formulate a diagnosis, and discuss a plan of care with the patient. The though explanation of my findings and as well as the rationale for my clinical decision-making will further be shared so that the patient becomes knowledgeable of their of psychological disorder and how medication and psychotherapy can work in concert to promote symptom stabilization and overall mental wellness. ***All Initial Psychiatric Evaluations may not be self-scheduled. These appointments must be booked directly through the office because they are 90-minute sessions and require specific time allocation. Please request an available date by sending a message through the Grow Therapy portal, and we will be happy to schedule it for you.***
As a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner, my greatest strengths are being a formidable patient advocate, having a model of integrity and committment to optimal patient care, and standing as a spiritual resource to foster hopefulness, encouragement, and inspiration through Biblical worldview.
I treat patients from all cultures, races, genders, or religious affiliations, from childhood to geriatrics.

Christian Counseling
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my primary roll is the treatment of mental health with medication management. However, I am a Christian and my private practice is faith-based. This, by no means, excludes individuals who are not Christian, religious, or spiritual in any way. I welcome all children, adult, and geriatric persons who are in need of mental health care services. Within my faith-based practice, I may provide Biblical Scriptures or offer prayer to provide encouragement, hopefulness, and emotional support.

Dr. Kim was extremely thorough with my diagnosis, then she explained everything to me carefully. I was very hopeful after our appointment.

I really don't have the words, because sometimes words aren't enough, but I'm incredibly grateful for Dr. Gilbert, even after just the first visit because she was so affirming in letting me know that we are going to figure out my path forward.
