I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing for 8 years and enjoys the power of healing through seeking deeper understanding of self discovery. I enjoy many activities including the outdoors and physical fitness. I value family and focus on creating a closeness in interpersonal relationships. I am passionate about giving to others and helping those who seek to gain an understanding of self improvement.
In our first session we will explore areas of concern and self improvement while also establishing a baseline of exploration into the individual as a whole and introducing the practices that will be used in sessions. In addition we will discuss consistency in follow through of any homework assigned and participation. We will gain an understanding of the expectations of you and myself.
My approaches including use of cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapeutic techniques with establishing goals of change and processing symptoms and triggers that create barriers. I practice use of emotional regulation in addition to symptom management and exploration into underlying issues which lead to current behaviors. I have experience with individual and family approaches while working on trauma and being present in the moment.
The ideal client will address issues with openness and transparency while taking on a willingness to follow through with use of tools and interventions addressed in sessions for progression of personal growth. This person will establish goals for change and review the improvements and challenges in processing areas of need. The client will be consistent in attendance and participation in addition to working in a collaborative effort.
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we will work to identify and build upon your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and foster personal growth and resilience.
I tailor my methods to best serve each client's unique needs. The goal is to assist you in reducing anxiety, depression, and enhance emotional regulation.
