Hello there! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida. I earned my Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University and have been practicing for 12 years. My focus is on supporting Moms and working women dealing with career stress and burnout to help them reach their full potential. Additionally, I work with women, children, and families to navigate through trauma and life obstacles. I specialize in aiding children and families in rebuilding connections and improving communication skills. Moreover, I provide guidance to parents on effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When embarking on the therapeutic journey with me, my aim is to provide you with a comforting "home away from home" experience. I strive to establish an environment where you can authentically express yourself and find solace away from external pressures. It is important to me that you leave each session feeling lighter and more self-aware. During our initial meeting, we will introduce ourselves briefly and discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. My therapeutic approach will be personalized to suit your specific requirements.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

After a decade of working with children and families, I have honed the ability to identify the underlying issues affecting my clients. By quickly establishing rapport, I create a comfortable environment where clients feel secure in confiding in me. I present my genuine self and adopt a direct approach, which my clients appreciate for its straightforwardness.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For the last decade, I have effectively applied this approach. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help my clients confront their negative thoughts and guide them in transforming these thoughts into more positive ones consistently.

Family Therapy

For the last decade, part of my focus has been on Family Therapy, where I work tirelessly with families to rebuild connections and enhance their communication abilities.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I make it a priority for my clients to feel ownership of their therapeutic journey. This approach involves presenting my authentic self and establishing a nonjudgmental environment for them. Additionally, I concentrate on tailoring the space to meet my clients' requirements and delivering customized treatment strategies.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Throughout my career, I have primarily worked with individuals who have faced trauma, and trauma-focused CBT has been a consistently effective approach that I have utilized. It's usually utilized with children and adolescents and focuses on unhelpful thinking patterns and challenging guilt and fear.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize this form of treatment to assist my clients in reaching immediate goals especially when it comes treating issues like anxiety and self esteem.
