New to Grow
Hi! I'm Mariah! I like to think of therapy as a mix between a roadmap and a toolkit- you bring the story, I bring the strategies and create a safe place to help you navigate life's twists and turns. Together, well find what works best for you, with plenty of insight, laughs, and aha moments along the way. Therapy with me is about growth, understanding, and feeling supported every step of the way.
In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other. I'll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any questions or concerns you may have. Well also talk about what therapy might look like together-setting some initial goals and discussing the approaches that could be most helpful for you. My goals is for you to leave that first meeting feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of what our work together can look like.
What sets me apart is both the range of experiences I bring and the values that guide my work. I was drawn to therapy because I've seen firsthand the power of having someone to walk alongside you during the difficult times. Over the years, I've worked with people who have suffered life altering interactions with others and their world, people addicted to substances trying to navigate life, and people struggling with mental health due to many challenges they may be facing which has given me a deep appreciation for resilience in all its forms. By blending this experience with an eclectic approach, I am able to adapt therapyCli to meet you where you are while supporting meaningful, lasting change.
I work best with people who are ready to look at their lives with honesty and curiosity, even if they're not sure where to start. Many of my clients come to to me feeling overwhelmed by stress, weighed down by anxiety, or stuck in patters that no longer serve them. Others are navigating big life transitions, or wanting more fulfilling relationships. What they all have in common, is a desire for change-whether that's finding relief, building healthier coping skills, or creating a deeper sense of balance and confidence. If you're open to exploring new perspectives and ready to take steps toward gradual growth, I'll be a good fit.
I believe no two people are the same, so therapy shouldn't look exactly the same for everyone. That's why I use an eclectic approach- which simply means I pull from different types of therapy depending on what will be most helpful for you. Sometimes that means using practical tools to manage stress or anxiety (Like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), other times its creating space for you to explore your feelings and experiences in a supportive, non judgmental way (like Person-Centered). My goal is to create a flexible and collaborative process where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make the changes you're hoping for.
