Your story matters. Your life has value. You are worth it. Seeking help through life's difficulties can be daunting. It can, at times, also be met with some disapproval by others who don't understand the position that you are in or the struggles you face. I want to acknowledge your bravery in taking this step to prioritize your mental health. It isn't easy, but I can assure you it will be worth it. A little about me: I am passionate about helping others seek out health and wholeness in their lives. I currently practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana. In my 8 years of clinical experience, I have worked in multiple settings (community based mental health, in-home therapy for adults and children, outpatient adult & pediatric therapy) and have experience with a variety of mental health concerns. These include: depression, anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD, ASD, substance abuse, trauma, and more. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story!
In our first session together, we will spend time getting to know each other. I will provide space for you to ask me questions- about myself and/or about the process in general. I will review the information you provided in your intake assessments, and will ask more specific questions if needed. We will develop a plan of treatment together, as I believe that collaboration is what leads to motivation to change.
It is important to me that you feel as though your voice is heard. That you are seen, valued, and accepted for who you are as an individual-without judgement. No person is exactly like another- what works for one may not work for everyone. Your individuality and unique perspective is my highest priority. My desire is to empower clients to make healthy decisions for themselves, and to be a support to individuals as they walk through difficult seasons in life. Perfection is NEVER the goal. We all make mistakes and will fall back into old behaviors/thought patterns. My greatest focus throughout this process is that as the client, you feel encouraged and empowered to take steps towards health in your life.
I enjoy working with clients who are seeking to improve themselves, in whatever form that looks like. I will be here as a guide and a supporter in your process. I will never tell you exactly what to do or what steps to take, but I seek to always provide a safe space to gain confidence and health along your journey.

I like to describe my approach as client-centered and solution-focused (goal-oriented). We will develop treatment goals together and ensure you feel comfortable with our plan. I utilize different modalities of treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) during sessions to assist clients in reaching their goals and identifying barriers to their progress. CBT works by challenging negative thoughts and beliefs to yield more healthy emotions and behaviors. Our thoughts dictate our emotions which dictate our behaviors. If we change our unhealthy thought patterns, we can reduce challenging emotional experiences and the negative behaviors that follow. I also utilize mindfulness to assist with the stressors of life and remaining in the present moment.CBT functions on the basic premise: thoughts lead to emotions that lead to behaviors. If you can identify and challenge negative thoughts, positive emotions can follow which can yield healthy behaviors.
Attachment-Based Therapy is a method that emphasizes the impact of early relationships and attachment styles on emotional and behavioral patterns throughout a person's life. The goal of attachment-based therapy is to assist clients in understanding their attachment styles—secure, anxious, avoidant, or disorganized—and how these patterns manifest in their current relationships. By exploring past experiences, clients can gain insight into their emotional responses and relational dynamics. In sessions, you can expect a safe and supportive environment, allowing you to express feelings and experiences. This process encourages the development of healthier attachment styles and improved emotional regulation.
