Hi! My name is Ramona, looking forward to meeting you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in NC and CT. I graduated in 2015, at Western Connecticut State University. I have 10 years of Clinical Service experience as clinician working in a variety of specialties grief, crisis, trauma, addiction and life transitions that result in feelings of depression and anxiety. In these areas, I have worked with ages and developmental levels.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The initial session is meant to be informational and a space where you can ask as many questions as we build a comfortable relationship with one another. I will ask questions to better get to know you, as my motto is, you hold the keys of your life. I will help you utilize those keys to unlock some very valuable gifts within you.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I will identify troubling situations in your life and help you become aware of your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs about these problems. The goal is to identify negative thinking and correct it so that your thinking is more in line with your goals resulting in feeling much better.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This is a phenomenal treatment goal that helps break down LARGE goals into manageable skills that will result in transformation and reduced individual distress and a greater ability to tolerate or handle life stressors.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)

I have over 6 years specifically dedicated to suicide prevention and safety planning. Ongoing treatment goal planning dedicated to monitoring suicidality. CBT utilized to detect anxiety and depression linked to the triggering of SI. Resilience and some exposure therapy incorporated to combat and build skills and empowerment to combat negative thinking.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

I have experience with assisting with changes in routines, collaborating with medication prescriber, setting sleep limits, changing lifestyle, learning relaxation techniques and managing intrusive thoughts that interfere with going to sleep.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I believe that internal family systems is a simple modality that people can connect with as a person. In families we all have roles and it is important to know these paradigm shifts and the (5) P's to assist be heard and understanding each other and self in a more clear and concise way.
