We welcome new patients seeking medication management for ADHD. Please note that while we specialize in medication management, we do not provide ADHD testing in our practice. Prior to your first appointment, we kindly request that you complete and submit formal ADHD testing from a qualified provider. This ensures we have the necessary information to offer you the most appropriate care from the very start. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to working with you on your journey to better health and well-being. Dr. Kurt Kristiansen initially began his career in medicine as a post baccalaureate Registered Nurse, graduating with his BSN in Nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, initially working in both Neuro and Cardiac ICUs both in Louisville and Scottsdale, Arizona. To be able to counsel and support patients further, he studied to become a Nurse Practitioner, gaining his doctorate-- PMHNP from The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Because Dr. Kristiansen has seen such a wide variety of patients as both a critical care nurse and psychiatric nurse practitioner, he is able to provide comprehensive care and treatment to patients. He understands that mental health struggles can be just as serious as a physical injury, and he desires to help each and every on of his patients overcome their difficulties.
In our first appointment together, we'll start with introductions, then dive into a detailed history and the current and specific issues you're facing. This will allow me to create a tailored medication management plan for you. Follow up appointments will evaluate progress and change as needed.
Dr Kristiansen offers treatments for Anxiety (Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Phobia-related Disorders), Mood Disorders (Bipolar, Depression), Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Trauma & PTSD, and Substance Use Disorders.

Dr. Kristiansen is knowledgeable, kind, and easy to talk to. He really listened to my concerns and took them into consideration when creating a treatment plan for me. I’m very grateful for his care.

I found him to be very knowledgeable in his field. Ive been at this many years and know quite a bit. He has a very easy vibe and a nice personality. Good listener and has been open to hear any of my ideas as far as my treatment goes. I would absolutely recommend him.

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Kristiansen. I was a little nervous about discussing personal details of my life; however, he put me at ease right away with his calm, empathetic demeanor. He listened attentively, without judgment, to what brought me to therapy and was very knowledgeable about my mental health concerns and the various treatment options for them.
