Hi, I am a Board certified Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with mental health disorders from age 6 & older. My approach to care is holistic while incorporating the use of medications and therapeutic techniques to bring about positive changes in your life and improve your overall wellbeing. I provide my patients with a comprehensive approach to care which includes thorough psychiatric evaluations, accurate diagnoses, and evidence-based medication management, combined with individualized psychotherapy. My goal is to partner with my patients to establish a treatment plan that works best for them. There is no one size fits all and I treat each patient with their unique needs and expectations. I pride myself as a very friendly and approachable provider who understands the nuances that accompany mental health. I also practice active listening with empathy and Compassion. My patients typically start experiencing a reduction of symptom within the first month of treatment and maintain sustained improvement thereafter.
My initial consultation will be to gather some information about you, determine what your needs are and work together with you to establish a treatment plan that works best for you.
My greatest strength is listening to my patients with empathy and compassion. I spend time with you explaining your diagnoses, treatment options and medication teachings. I strive to put myself in my patients' shoes, understanding the emotions and challenges they face.
I serve clients in the state of NC, VA and DC area. My ideal clients are those wanting to make a difference in their lives. Your mental health affects how you think, feel, and act, and helps determine how you handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.
