Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals as they heal from trauma, deepen self-understanding, and reconnect with their inner resilience. I believe healing happens in a space that feels safe, curious, and collaborative. You may be feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed—carrying pain from past experiences that still echo in your present. Often, we don’t even realize how much our family of origin, early attachment patterns, or subtle relational wounds (like feeling invisible, verbally criticized, or emotionally neglected) shape how we relate to ourselves and others today. These so-called “little t” traumas—such as a lack of belonging or chronic invalidation—can be just as harmful as more visible “big T” traumas. Whatever the source of pain, my role is to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been hidden, hurt, or exiled—and to gently guide you toward wholeness and relief.
Our first session is about creating safety and clarity. We’ll begin with introductions and review any questions or concerns you may have about therapy. I’ll also explain how I work and invite you to share the current challenges or experiences that brought you here. This initial conversation helps us develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your goals, needs, and readiness. Whether you are new to therapy or returning after some time away, this first step is about connection, not perfection.
My greatest strength lies in holding a grounded, attuned presence while guiding clients through deep healing work using EMDR, Brainspotting, and IFS. I have extensive experience working with complex trauma, childhood abuse and neglect, sexual abuse, foster care and adoption-related issues, and victims of crime. I also support clients coping with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, dissociation, and life transitions. Using these integrative tools, I help clients access and process the emotional and somatic memory that traditional talk therapy may not reach. My approach is trauma-informed, gentle, and paced according to what your nervous system can handle. Healing doesn’t mean reliving everything—it means feeling safer in your own body, your relationships, and your future.
I’m best suited to work with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—especially those with a history of childhood trauma, foster care or adoption, abuse, or emotionally unavailable caregiving. My clients are often resilient but exhausted, seeking real healing and deeper self-understanding. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can reconnect with yourself and move toward the life you want and deserve.
EMDR - Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a mental health treatment technique. This method involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories. EMDR's goal is to help you heal from trauma or other distressing life. experiences.
IFS therapy is based upon the idea that every person has multiple sub-personalities which can be in conflict with each other. This can lead to problematic habits and behaviors. The goal of IFS therapy is to help people identify and accept the different parts of themselves and heal the parts that are wounded.
Attachment-based therapy is an approach to therapy that specifically targets those thoughts, feelings, communications, behaviors, and interpersonal exchanges that patients have learned either to suppress and avoid or to amplify and overemphasize because of early attachment experiences.
Utilized Brainspotting by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms.
