My name is Percival Fisher, Jr. However, you can call me "Percy" and I have been providing individual and group psychotherapy for 12 years. I am here to assist you in reaching your goals in therapy. I provide a safe, warm, and interactive space to talk about your presenting issues. I have experience providing therapy to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, "coming out"/LGBTQIA-related issues, and family conflicts.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, safe, and supportive environment where we’ll begin by introducing ourselves and exploring your goals for therapy. We will work together to create a collaborative treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and concerns. I will encourage open dialogue and active listening to ensure that you feel heard and understood as we lay the foundation for our therapeutic journey. This initial session is an opportunity for us to start building a trusting and empathetic therapeutic relationship as we navigate the path towards your healing and growth.
I utilize multiple treatment modalities (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Crisis Intervention, and Relational Therapeutic techniques) that would be best for you and your specific needs.
Active Listener, reflective statements, feeling validated, being compassionate, understanding, patient, and professional.
My ideal clients are diverse and encompass a broad spectrum of individuals, including young professionals, established middle-aged professionals, artists, leaders, and free spirits from all walks of life. I welcome people of color (POC), members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals from all backgrounds to bring their authentic selves into this therapeutic space without reservation. It is my intention to create an inclusive and affirming environment where all clients feel embraced, validated, and empowered to explore their unique experiences and perspectives. Everyone is welcomed, and I am committed to honoring the diversity and richness of each individual's story and identity.
