I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with the bulk of my experience treating mood disorders, working with families, treating trauma, adolescents, crisis intervention, and serious and persistent mental illnesses. I feel it's best to be transparent throughout the therapeutic process and try my best to help clients achieve their goals that have been discussed for treatment. I am straight forward and to the point, which I highlight from the get go, as some may not vibe well with that approach or temperament.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session goes over any questions you are wanting to get out of treatment, what therapy will look like, as well as gathering background information to get an accurate picture of what's going on in your world and how to best support.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Person centered, transparent, easy going, and the ability to adapt/meet the client where they are at.

My treatment methods

EMDR

This is a trauma therapy that can also be used for other areas of concern such as depression, anxiety, and more. This is utilized by targeting memories where unwanted thoughts or associations are present and changing them to a more positive outlook to reduce the impact they have. Clients have shown a significant reduction in PTSD symptoms, improved relationships, and overall improvement in several areas of their life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

A great way to focus on what the client wants and helping them truly have a collaborative approach to the process. I feel clients should be able to have an active stay in their treatment, so they are able to build rapport with their therapist and accomplish goals they want to achieve in treatment.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This modality is one that I often utilize to help assist clients in improving relationships, whether it be communication, stress reduction, or being more present in their lives.
