New to Grow
Hello, I’m Jessica Pollas, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience working with adolescents, college students, and adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and stress. I use a trauma informed, compassionate approach that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR to help clients heal, build resilience, and develop practical coping skills. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful changes in their lives.
During our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we will begin getting to know one another. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your personal history, current challenges, and the goals you hope to achieve. Together, we will develop a plan that fits your unique needs and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, collaboration, and respect. You do not need to prepare anything in advance, just come as you are! My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can speak openly without fear Of judgment. Together, we will begin to identify what is most important to you and develop a plan for moving forward at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.
What sets my approach apart is the balance between evidence based methods and genuine human connection. I draw from proven techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational, interviewing, solution focus therapy, and. EMDR. My style is collaborative and compassionate. I believe therapy works best when clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to make mean full steps towards change.
I am best positioned to serve adolescents, college students, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and chronic stress. I work well with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and are seeking practical tools and deeper healing to improve their emotional well being. Using a trauma informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approach, I integrate evidence based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help clients develop healthier coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and build resilience. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to heal, gain insight, and work toward meaningful personal goals. Whether someone is seeking relief from distressing symptoms, healing from trauma, or pursuing personal growth, I am committed to helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to create lasting positive change.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to emotional distress. Through a collaborative and goal oriented approach, I assist clients in recognizing the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while developing healthier coping strategies and problem solving skills
EMDR
I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences, distressing memories, and negative beliefs that continue to impact their daily functioning. EMDR is an evidence based approach that supports the brain’s natural ability to process unresolved experiences, reducing the emotional intensity associated with traumatic events. I guide clients through the EMDR process by helping them identify target memories, develop emotional regulation and grounding skills, and safely reprocess past experiences using bilateral stimulation techniques. This approach can help decrease symptoms of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and other stress-related conditions while fostering healthier self-beliefs and emotional resilience.
