I specialize in supportive validating psychotherapy- I have developed my skills working in mental health over 20 years. I am passionate about my work and believe in the power of connection to help promote change in therapy- I use Mindfulness DBT skills and EMDR as my primary helping modalities- I will meet you where you are at and help you remove your blocks to finding happiness. Whether you need to change or learn acceptance- therapy can be a useful tool in this process.
In our first session I will find out the concerns that bring you to therapy- we will use the session to decide if we are a good fit to work together.
I am experienced and non-judgmental. I love to teach my clients new approaches to working with their problems.
My ideal client has some motivation for change and would like to learn and grow in therapy.

Very easy to talk to and understanding. I feel like I can tell her anything at all and do so without her judging me. She helps me see the good in me and has helped me discover why i have certain negative behaviors and what do to help make it better. I've had quite a few therapists and a lot of therapy, but none have helped me as much as she does. She knows when to listen and let me rant and she knows when to step in to help me resolve issues.

Deanne goes beyond a surface-level understanding of therapeutic modalities. She has a remarkable ability to identify the common thread running through various challenges and clearly communicate both the actions needed and the deeper reflections required to support meaningful change.

Deanne was warm, explanatory, and very well versed in in the areas and practices I'm interested in. I really like her.
I am trained in EMDR and use it to assist in reprocessing difficult memories and negative self limiting beliefs. EMDR helps clients tap their internal healing capacity and promotes change.
I am trained in DBT and love to teach client new tools to increase insight and improve coping. The model has a lot of skills to draw from so I teach my clients new tools for dealing with problems such as strong emotions.
