I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field and 3 years of experience providing therapy. I work with older teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, and I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to explore challenges, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools for everyday life.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will explore what has been going on, what feels most overwhelming right now, and what you would like to be different. There is no pressure to share more than you are ready for. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, more at ease, and clearer on your goals, with a few concrete next steps we can continue to build on together in future sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to build authentic, trusting relationships with clients. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where people feel comfortable being themselves and exploring life's challenges. Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, developmental disabilities, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I tailor treatment to each client's unique strengths, goals, and needs. My approach combines compassion and validation with practical, evidence-based strategies. I want clients to feel heard and supported while also gaining tools they can use in their daily lives. My goal is to help clients build on their strengths, overcome challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with older teens, young adults, and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for change. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or difficulties managing stress and emotions. My ideal clients are individuals who want to better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful improvements in their lives. They don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy—in fact, many come to therapy because they're unsure where to begin. What matters most is a willingness to explore challenges, learn new perspectives, and work toward personal growth. I am especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), as well as individuals navigating the lasting effects of trauma. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to build on their strengths.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we work at a pace that feels comfortable for you while focusing on your goals, values, and personal growth.

Strength-Based

Rather than focusing only on problems, I help you identify and build on the strengths, skills, and resilience you already have. Even during difficult times, people often possess abilities and resources they may not fully recognize. Together, we'll use those strengths to overcome challenges and create meaningful change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Sometimes unhelpful thought patterns can increase stress, anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. I help clients learn practical tools to identify these patterns, challenge them when needed, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to life's challenges.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I recognize that every person's identity, background, values, and life experiences are unique. I strive to create an inclusive and respectful environment where all aspects of who you are are welcomed and valued. Together, we'll explore your concerns within the context of your culture, beliefs, relationships, and lived experiences.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma can affect how we think, feel, relate to others, and experience the world. I approach therapy with an understanding of how past experiences may impact current challenges. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel empowered, respected, and in control of your healing process. We focus on building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and moving forward at a pace that feels right for you.
