I am a dual-board certified nurse practitioner, credentialed in family medicine & psychiatry. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, adjustment/intermittent explosive disorders, insomnia, ADHD, and PTSD. I have worked in psychiatry for the last 4 years, and utilize many different methods to create a personalized care plan. This includes medication management and therapy interventions, as well as incorporating wellness services (weight loss and vitamin replacement).
I hope for my clients to feel safe, heard, and cared for when meeting with me to treat their mental health needs. Every individual views mental health treatment differently, and I will strive understand your goals for treatment by creating your individualized plan of care with you. My philosophy on treating mental health is understanding that mental health problems do not define a person, but rather are experiences that shape an individual, and can be managed in order to live the best life possible. I focus on implementing both medication and therapeutic interventions to target the underlying causes of mental health disorders.
I am grateful to have patients who value me as their provider, due to my compassion, understanding, and personalization of treatment. I strive to address the core issue of concerns, rather than solely treating symptoms. I also provide an environment that is welcoming and safe, being sure to build a rapport from the first meeting.
I offer services to clients 13 years of age and older, and this can be through a virtual visit (video-based) or in-person. We strive to target populations that have insurance, as well as those who are self-pay, as mental health should be affordable and accessible to everyone. Please note that any controlled substance prescriptions require an in-person visit per Florida state DEA guidelines. These cannot be prescribed virtually.
I utilize CBT methods to assist with depression and anxiety symptoms
