Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Ohio. I earned my Master’s from Youngstown State University and have been supporting clients for several years in achieving their mental health and wellness goals. My dream clients are individuals who are ready to face the challenges preventing them from living fulfilling and meaningful lives. I specialize in working with people navigating anxiety, depression, self-worth struggles, trauma, and existential questions about purpose and identity. Whether it’s feeling stuck in patterns of negative thinking, grappling with unresolved emotional pain, or questioning your direction in life, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore these concerns. I take a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and existential therapy. I focus on tailoring the therapeutic process to meet each client’s unique needs, whether that means challenging unhelpful beliefs, processing past trauma, or identifying values that bring clarity and purpose. My goal is to help clients uncover their strengths, develop coping tools, and build self-acceptance to move forward with confidence and resilience. I value the courage it takes to seek help and approach therapy as a partnership, empowering clients to become active participants in their growth and healing. Together, we work to process emotions, develop healthier patterns, and align life choices with personal values. If you’re ready to explore your journey toward healing and transformation, I’d be honored to help you take the next steps. Let’s work together to create a life that feels more aligned, meaningful, and authentic to you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll start with introductions, and I’ll take time to create a comfortable space for you to share. I believe building trust and rapport is essential, so I’ll ask a range of questions to get to know you better and understand the specific challenges you’re facing. We’ll talk about your goals for therapy and any concerns you may have. I’ll work with you to identify the core issues that may be affecting your mental health and well-being. Based on this conversation, I’ll begin to formulate a tailored treatment plan, discussing different approaches that could be helpful. Together, we’ll outline the steps moving forward and set a clear direction for our work in the following sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a therapist include my deep empathy and ability to create an open, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable talking. I’m down to earth and approachable, which helps clients feel at ease. I have extensive experience in both private practice and community mental health, working with a wide range of mental health issues. In addition, my personal experiences with mental health challenges and overcoming trauma have given me a unique perspective and a strong sense of compassion for my clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs. These patterns often develop through past experiences, where negative events or stressors shape distorted thinking, such as overgeneralization or catastrophizing. Over time, these thoughts become ingrained, reinforcing negative core beliefs about oneself, others, or the world. CBT provides practical strategies to recognize and reframe these patterns, empowering clients to develop healthier perspectives and behaviors, fostering emotional resilience and growth.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use Person-Centered Therapy to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. Rooted in empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, this approach empowers clients to trust their innate ability to grow and resolve their own challenges. By fostering self-awareness and self-acceptance, clients are encouraged to uncover their strengths and move toward greater personal fulfillment and well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and navigating distressing situations. DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices to foster emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and self-acceptance. This structured, collaborative approach is particularly effective for clients struggling with emotion dysregulation, self-harm, or relationship conflicts, promoting balance and resilience.

Existential

I use Existential Therapy to help clients explore questions of purpose, meaning, and identity in their lives. This approach focuses on uncovering what truly matters to the individual, empowering them to create a sense of direction and fulfillment. By addressing existential concerns—such as freedom, responsibility, and mortality—clients are encouraged to confront uncertainty and embrace their ability to choose meaningful paths. Through this process, clients can develop a deeper understanding of themselves and cultivate a life that aligns with their values and aspirations.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process traumatic experiences that often lead to negative beliefs about themselves, such as feelings of worthlessness or helplessness. These beliefs are rooted in unprocessed memories stored in the brain. Through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps to access and reprocess these memories, reducing their emotional intensity and enabling clients to replace negative beliefs with more adaptive, empowering perspectives.
