I am so glad you're here! I am a therapist who specializes in supporting young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression and major life transitions. I often work with individuals who are balancing work, relationships, or new responsibilities and may feel overwhelmed or unsure how to move forward. I provide a supportive space where we can work together to build coping skills, increase confidence and help you feel more like yourself again.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, you can expect a supportive and conversational space where we begin getting to know each other. I'll ask questions about your background, current concerns and what's been going on in your life, but I aim to do this in a way that feels natural and not like a checklist. We will also talk about what you're hoping to get out of our time together so we can begin identifying goals and creating a clear direction for our work together. My goal is for you to feel comfortable and be at ease throughout our time together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is creating a comfortable and conversational environment where clients feel safe being themselves. Starting therapy can feel intimidating especially when you're sharing personal experiences with someone new. I work hard to make sessions feel natural and collaborative compared to super clinical or like a series of questions. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood and supported from the start. Another strength I bring is helping clients turn overwhelming goals into manageable stops. I try hard to help break things down into practical and achievable actions. I want you to leave our sessions with greater clarity, confidence and tools that you can use to begin using in your daily life right away.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support adults who are navigating anxiety, depression and life transitions. Many of my clients are balancing multiple responsibilities such as careers, relationships or parenting and may feel overwhelmed, stuck or unsure of next steps. I also enjoy working with young adults who are adjusting to life changes such as starting college, entering the workforce or navigating independence for the first time. These changes can bring uncertainty, pressure, and self-doubt and I help clients build confidence, develop coping skills and create a sense of structure during these periods of change.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore any ambivalence and build confidence in making meaningful changes in their lives. This is especially helpful for someone that might feel "stuck" or unsure about next steps. In sessions, I will use open-ended questions, reflective listening and collaborative goal setting to support clients in identifying their own motivations and strengthening their commitment to change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients better understand connections between their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. In sessions, we would work together on practical strategies and coping skills that can be applied in everyday life to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression and/or stress.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is so important and I use this to help clients gain a deeper understanding of their symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options. Knowledge can be empowering and I often incorporate education into sessions to help clients make sense of what they are experiencing and feel more in control of their mental health.
