Hi there! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and I am based in Indianapolis, Indiana. I went to the University of Indianapolis for my Masters and have been in the field for six years. In my time as a therapist, I have primarily worked with children aged five to eleven years of age, as well as young and middle adults. I have supported my clients through the struggles of Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. I have also supported my clients' families on how best to support their children through very difficult times, but also how to process and navigate these issues as caregivers.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will introduce one another and discuss what you would like to get out of our time together. During these initial sessions, we will build upon the therapeutic relationship and slowly delve deeper into the tough stuff. You may even get to meet one of my cats, Ravioli! He likes to provide moral support and sometimes, comedic relief.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with children and families these last six years- I believe that I can roll with change and be a resource for my clients. As we work together, I support my clients through a client centered approach and utilize various different curriculums that address your needs. I am resourceful and will try my absolute best to support and address your treatment goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I truly enjoy working with children, tweens, teens, young adults, and beyond. I will gladly support you through the good times and the bad.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I utilize the strength-based approach to empower and encourage my clients. I focus upon the strengths of each person to figure how best we can target issues at hand.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is utilized in sessions to address "stinkin' thinkin," it is so easy to get lost in our thoughts and spiral. I utilize CBT to focus upon the facts, separating the feelings and empowering the client; reminding them that they do have the power to make a change and defeat those negative thoughts.

Psychoeducation

I utilize psychoeducation to help my clients gain insight to what they have going on, to empower them and support them.

Jessica stood out to me due to her photo- it was real and relatable. I appreciated how comfortable she made me feel during our first session; we had an open conversation and got to know one another. She didn't make me feel like I was under any pressure to tell her anything, but she still asked questions and remained engaged when I was rambling. 10/10 will be seeing her again.

I knew I've needed therapy for a while I just didn't make time. But I was able to do research, and I was nervous at first, but it was a great decision I was very happy to meet Jessica and felt like there was someone who would finally listen.
