Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated with my Master's Degree for the University of South Florida. I have experience working with adult and adolescents dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, self-esteem, life changes and other challenges. I specialize in working with women and men who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, negative self-image. I work with clients to help them discover their true self, underneath the expectations they have placed on themselves or feel pressure from others. I will meet you where you are in your journey, and will facilitate the changes to help you be a happier and healthier version of yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will get to know each other so that we can both feel comfortable working together. We will discuss specific challenges you are currently facing and how they are impacting your life. We will discuss your current strengths and coping skills so we can build on them. I will also ask what your goals are for therapy. If you're not sure yet that is okay, but it will be important fro you to think about before our second session. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with clients in an outpatient setting as well as an inpatient setting to address both their mental health and substance use challenges.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Everyone has strengths that can be used to help them through difficult challenges. Whether these are strengths you are already aware of or discover while in therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is helpful to use to change your reaction to situations that are out of your control. An individual cannot change what other people do or say, events that are disruptive to them, but we can work on changing your reaction to this event so that it is less emotionally and mentally harmful to you. CBT can help you decide what you are going to allow impact you and what you wont allow to impact you.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is helpful for changing an emotional response you have to situations. This will help you have more control over the emotional response you have, and decrease the impact a difficult situation will have on you.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma informed care is important when working with anyone who has experienced any type of trauma, as it helps provide you with a safe environment to work through the trauma. This modality will help us uncover the effects trauma has caused in all aspects of your life. Whether you were in a car accident, abusive relationship, experienced childhood trauma, lost a loved one, or a different type of trauma we will approach your trauma in a manner and time frame that you are comfortable with.
