I hold a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have 9 years of experience. I am bilingual, fluent in Spanish. I have worked with, and feel comfortable working with those individuals who are living different lifestyles and come from different cultures and backgrounds. I specialize in supporting individuals through life’s challenges, whether they are facing anxiety, depression, or the stress of major life transitions. I am especially passionate about helping with self-esteem challenges as well as women’s issues, including the perinatal and postpartum stages, infertility, or menopause. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can process your emotions, build resilience, and find balance during these transformative moments. **PLEASE NOTE: I do not conduct evaluations or provide documentation for emotional support animals, leave from work, SSI, or similar requests. These forms are best completed by a physician. However, for established clients with a consistent history of care, I may collaborate with physicians or provide additional supportive information as appropriate.**
In the first few sessions, it is my opportunity to get to know you; your background, values, discuss goals and treatment plan, as well as build rapport.
I've had a lot of success with helping individuals learn to identify stressors that lead to symptoms of anxiety, learn ways to manage them, as well as find a sense of fulfillment in life. Together, we will work toward gaining insights, learning skills, expressing emotions, and more. These things will help you make progress and see ways to maintain that progress long term.
I am best positioned to support adults 18+ who are seeking guidance and are motivated to invest in their personal growth. My approach is a strong fit for those who are ready to see progress but may not yet have the tools to get there. I specialize in helping individuals navigate life transitions, build self-esteem, and work through challenges related to women's issues, including perinatal and postpartum mental health, infertility, and menopause. If you are looking for a supportive space to gain insight, develop coping strategies, and work toward becoming the best version of yourself, I am here to help.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented type of therapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It helps individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions and equips them with practical tools to manage challenges like anxiety, depression, or stress. In therapy, we’ll work together to develop strategies that empower you to think differently, respond more effectively, and achieve your goals.
Person-Centered Therapy is a supportive, non-directive approach that emphasizes your ability to grow and heal in a safe, accepting environment. This therapy focuses on your unique experiences and fosters self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth. As your therapist, I provide empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, creating a space where you feel heard and empowered to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying and building on your strengths to create positive change. Instead of dwelling on problems, we’ll work together to explore what’s working in your life and envision the future you want. By setting clear goals and highlighting your existing resources, this approach in therapy empowers you to find practical, actionable solutions and move forward with confidence.
