I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker specialized in treating adolescents and adults transitioning, adjusting, and coping with life changes and stressors. I am especially passionate about working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma to help them find ways to create new paths and walk successfully through them. My approach is unique to each person I work with, as everyone has different needs. Whether our sessions are activity-based, learning-based, processing day-to-day struggles, or past issues, I will meet you where you are and we can begin your healing journey, together.
In our first session together, we will begin learning about each other, and explore the therapeutic process as a whole before engaging in an evaluation where I can begin understanding your life experiences, current symptoms, and future goals.
I specialize in working with people who struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety and trauma to help them overcome their suicidal ideation, feelings of numbness, hopelessness, and lack of motivation, as well as addressing the poor habits created as a result of their symptoms. In that, we must look deeply into the root cause of these issues, and work to manage those symptoms while addressing the true problem. In our sessions, you will explore and learn about yourself, while building valuable tools to help yourself create a more desired path in life while better managing daily stressors, problems, and symptoms. You will learn how to identify and express your emotions, needs and wants by learning to effectively communicate with others, set healthy boundaries, and find solutions to daily problems without ruminating on negative thoughts or your past. Therapy is not aimed to solve all of our problems, but to empower us to manage and cope with the problems that come our way without feeling completely out of control.
