LMFT, 20 years of experience
Hi, my name is Theresa, and I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with adult clients to set meaningful goals to address their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. In addition to being a LMFT and MN Board Approved Supervisor, I have a certification in Diversity and Inclusion and an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (CCSP), which I draw from to help guide clients through their therapeutic journey.
Starting therapy can be difficult and I strive to create a warm, approachable, and genuine environment. I meet clients where they are and work collaboratively to individualize therapy to meet their unique perspectives, background, and needs. I work with clients individually to set meaningful goals to address their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
I firmly believe that counseling has the power to increase insight, self-awareness, acceptance, and hope for a more fulfilling life. Together, we will identify your strengths and utilize them to navigate life’s challenges, fostering personal growth and resilience. I recognize that every individual’s journey is unique, I am committed to adaptability in my therapeutic approaches. Alongside evidence-based therapies, I integrate other modalities to ensure a holistic and personalized counseling experience. My flexibility allows me to align with your specific goals and needs, fostering a deeper understanding and connection throughout the therapeutic process. Together, we will navigate through challenges and work towards achieving your desired outcomes.
I’m passionate about assisting adults navigate life transitions, manage anxiety and depression, cope with ADHD/ADHD type symptoms, and deal with issues such as interpersonal challenges, sleep difficulties, grief/loss, and medical challenges.
