Hello! I have been a licensed clinical social worker since 2019, with a background in medical social work and behavioral health. My experience has equipped me to support individuals navigating complex emotional challenges that often center around modern life's daily challenges. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety and stress related to life's many transitions and demands by helping them build resilience and deveop practical coping strategies for their improved well-being.
In our first therapy session, I will focus on getting to know you, understanding your current challenges, and identifying your therapeutic goals. This is a space for you to share what has been weighing on you, ask questions, and begin building a collaborative plan for your care. Together, we will explore what you hope to gain from therapy and establish a foundation for meaningful and support work moving forward.
I specialize in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, a therapeutic modality that centers on your current needs and works toward identifying practical, achievable solutions. This approach emphasizes your strengths, resilience, and existing resources, helping you build on what is already working to create meaningful progress.
I work best with clients who are 18 years of age and older, who are experiencing life stressors and looking for some support and psychoeducation. I work best with students, professionals and retirees. I work well with individuals who are looking for short-term therapy and open to learning new therapeutic techniques to mitigate anxiety and stress. Again, at this time, my focus is short-term, EAP therapy.
I help individuals identify their negative thought patterns and challenge and reframe them. I encourage individuals to practice journaling as a way to explore one's negative thoughts and emotions and behaviors associated with these thoughts, with the goal of one slowly changing their behavior in beneficial ways.
As a therapist, I'm here to provide support for an individual during their therapy session, in which individuals have a right to choose their own goals. Through fostering a warm, empathetic therapeutic environment, I provide active, compassionate listening and encourage clients to practice self-compassion and focus on their positive traits and experiences in an effort to learn how capable they are with working through challenges.
