Due to both familial and personal experiences with mental health concerns, grief, and trauma, I was drawn to therapy from a young age. My own positive experiences with counseling led me to develop an interest in pursuing therapy as a career. I believe the best therapists must first have experience as clients themselves, as that is the only way to really understand what it is like to sit in the other chair. I do not believe in stigmatizing mental health concerns. Instead, I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and you can expect my counseling style to be warm, interactive, and nonjudgmental. I am client-centered and use various interventions from a range of therapeutic approaches, so I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your individual needs and goals.
I am best positioned to serve clients navigating challenges such as trauma, OCD, ADHD, depression, and anxiety. I work well with individuals seeking to better understand themselves and develop tools to manage overwhelming thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. My experience and identity allow me to create a safe and affirming space for members of the LGBTQ+ community, those exploring their identity, or those facing family and self-esteem challenges. Additionally, I provide nonjudgmental support for clients in diverse relationship structures, including those who are kink or poly, ensuring that therapy is tailored to their unique experiences and needs.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it’s practical and genuinely makes a difference in people’s lives. It helps my clients make sense of their thoughts and behaviors while giving them tools they can actually use to create real, meaningful changes. What I love most is how flexible it is—it allows me to meet each person where they are and tailor the approach to their unique needs. That’s so important to me as a therapist.
I use ACT because it helps clients focus on what truly matters while facing challenges with self-compassion. It combines mindfulness and action, empowering meaningful change. I love how it encourages living in line with one’s values.
I use CPT because it helps clients understand and reframe the traumatic beliefs that hold them back. It’s a structured, effective approach that fosters healing and growth. I love how it empowers clients to regain control of their lives.
