My name is Brooke Mullineaux and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work alongside adults who are seeking to live a healthier, more productive, and well-balanced life. Whether you find yourself struggling with depression or anxiety, experiencing a personal or familial medical crisis, working as a healthcare provider in the medical field, or navigating the challenges of grief, therapy can be that safe place in a world of uncertainty. I believe choosing to partake in therapy can be one of the most cathartic ways to help build a life of connectedness and gratitude.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session, I like to hear from you directly what it is you are seeking from therapy and to determine if we may be a good fit to begin our work together. Our first session will likely look and feel a bit different from subsequent sessions as I gather information and background from you, discuss guidelines and therapy etiquette, and determine goals to work towards together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the field for over ten years, I find that professional experience and the continued openness to learning is an invaluable asset. I have the unique experience of working in the medical field alongside medical professionals of varying specialty backgrounds and often assist those adjusting to some of life's most challenging circumstances.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work alongside individuals and families from varying backgrounds and diverse cultures. I enjoy working alongside individuals who are eager to navigate and overcome life stressors, individuals who hold careers in the health/medical field, and with clients who are seeking to become more aligned to their authentic self. I support my clients in feeling empowered to explore the depths of relationship patterns, identify personal strengths, weaknesses, hopes, and fears in order to gain a deeper sense of self-awareness.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often incorporate CBT to help you recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. CBT can be a helpful method of identifying more adaptive ways of thinking to lessen overwhelm, to challenge negative thinking, and to promote positive change.

Humanistic

Utilizing Humanistic and Person-Centered approach, I will encourage you to tell your story in a way that supports you in feeling understood, acknowledged, and validated. This method allows for an atmosphere of support, empathy, and trust in which an individual can share their feelings without fear of judgment.
