I am a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am compassionate about collaborating with those battling mental health conditions at all ages. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel a great strength of mine as a provider is the ability to hear and empathize with my patients. I offer alternative ways to access mental health care; I will come to you in your time of need or will be a phone call away.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best positioned to serve those who are ready to have a better quality of life with optimal mental health and holistic wellness.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My experience with CBT treatment has been positive for many patients who continue their treatment regimen. I use this treatment method collaboratively with my patients by way of discussion, document worksheets, and evidence-based skills. Effective outcomes of maladaptive thinking and behaviors have been transformed with this treatment.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

My experience with DBT treatment has been positive for many patients who continue their treatment regimen. I use this treatment method collaboratively with my patients by way of combining individual therapy or group discussion and phone coaching evidence-based skills. In this method, people learn new skills to replace disruptive behaviors and to regulate their emotions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

My experience with Mindfulness and motivational interviewing treatment has been effective for many patients who continue their treatment regimen. I use this treatment method collaboratively with my patients by way of combining individual talk therapy discussions and developing tools to replace negative thinking with calmness and evidence-based skills. In this method, people learn new skills to utilize compassion and positive actions and behaviors.
