I am passionate about helping my clients reduce their suffering and gain balance in their lives. I specialize in treating adolescents and young adults with depression and anxiety. I meet clients where they are and together, we develop goals and strategies for achieving well being, peace of mind, and joy. It is my mission to walk beside my clients until they can stand on their own and thrive. We work on developing coping strategies and identifying areas of strength to build upon. I bring mindfulness into my practice to help clients be present and not resort to rumination about the past or worry about the future. This mind, body attention is helpful in achieving regulation and balance of emotions.
Clients will begin to feel empowered about their lives. They will gain hope and motivation to improve their outlook and current feelings. Clients will, with work find their strength and want to improve and breakthrough their current emotional circumstances.. My hope is for clients to learn about themselves and find the strength to embrace their current challenges and move forward towards resilience and a place of balance and joy.
I work primarily with adolescents and young adults to help them navigate through their depression, coping abiliites, and anxiety. I work to develop a strong relationship built on trust where clients feel safe and comfortable to express themselves. I am trained in working with and helping trauma survivors. All adolescents need a safe place where they can feel comfortable truly expressing themselves in an honest and authentic way without feeling judged.
I work with the client to explore their automatic thought process. From there, the client reframes their experience to consider alternate thoughts. This thought shift process helps the client to see a situation through a different lens, thereby impacting their emotions and ultimately their behavior.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is used with clients to help them accept a situation first, in order to then make the necessary adjustments and commitments to growth and change.
DBT is employed with clients to help them grow towards wise mind from emotional mind and logical mind.
Attachment-based therapy is utilized with clients who struggle with relationships. The client focuses on early attachment breaks and how they can move forward with more healthy future relationships
