Jennifer Samuda
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving teens and adults who are ready to take charge of their emotional health. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or feeling disconnected from yourself or your faith, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where healing is possible and change is sustainable.
I focus on practical progress, not just talking, so you can start feeling better — not just in sessions, but in daily life.
I’m here to walk beside you as you rediscover your strength and move toward a more grounded, empowered version of yourself.
First session
In your first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, your symptoms, and your goals. I’ll ask questions to better understand your mental health history and current concerns. We’ll also discuss if therapy, medication, or both might be helpful. It’s a relaxed, supportive space, you can share at your own pace.
Strengths
What sets my approach apart is the balance of compassionate care, evidence-based therapy, and thoughtful medication management when needed. I use proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients gain real tools — not just insight — to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and insomnia. My clients often say they feel truly heard, supported, and empowered with clear steps to move forward. I focus on practical progress, not just talking, so you can start feeling better — not just in sessions, but in daily life.
Ideal clients
I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides therapy and medication support for teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and insomnia. I work with high-functioning individuals who feel emotionally stuck, helping them find clarity, relief, and practical tools to feel more balanced in daily life. Please note that I do not prescribe controlled substances or stimulant medications.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In our work together, I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a practical and evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. We’ll work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and learn tools to challenge and replace them with healthier ones. CBT gives you real strategies to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and even sleep issues, all at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
