Tony Park

PMHNP (he/him)6 years of experience

I am a fully independent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of healthcare experience, including several years focused on mental health care. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, sleep problems, and other psychiatric conditions. I provide culturally competent, respectful care and am fluent in both English and Korean, which allows me to support patients more comfortably in the language they prefer. My goal is to make mental health care feel clear, approachable, and tailored to each person’s background and needs.

First session

Your first visit is a chance for us to get to know each other and understand what has been going on. We will talk about your current concerns, past treatment, health history, and what you hope to improve. At the end of the visit, we will go over possible treatment options and decide on the next steps together.

Strengths

I bring a calm, collaborative, and practical approach to each session. I take time to listen and understand what someone is experiencing, while also asking thoughtful questions and offering honest feedback when it may be helpful. My background in both psychiatric and medical care helps me consider the whole person rather than focusing only on symptoms. I also value cultural differences and work with each client to create a treatment plan that feels realistic, respectful, and individualized.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, mood changes, difficulty concentrating, sleep problems, stress, or major life transitions and is ready to work toward meaningful improvement. I also enjoy working with individuals who have had difficulty finding the right treatment or who want a clearer understanding of their symptoms and options. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can identify concerns, discuss medication and non-medication approaches when appropriate, and develop realistic goals together. I value clients who want to take an active role in their care and build lasting improvements in their emotional well-being and daily functioning.

Treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing to help clients explore their concerns, goals, and readiness for change without judgment or pressure. During medication management visits, I may use open-ended questions and collaborative discussion to better understand what matters most to you, including your thoughts about medications, lifestyle changes, or treatment goals. This approach helps us make treatment decisions together and develop a plan that feels realistic and manageable.
