Hi! My name is Caylin Cedergren. I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I am licensed in Minnesota, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Masters of Social Work and have been providing therapy services for 8 years. I have over a decade of experience working in a hospital and medical clinic setting, partnering with medical professionals to help address the impact that our physical health can make on our mental health.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I firmly believe that I am not the expert of your life; you are. I take your personal experiences, individuality, and cultural background into account to provide you with the best care possible in ways that you need. I support, encourage, and gently challenge to help you navigate your way to a healthier version of you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT for most of my career. It is an evidence-based practice that can be helpful for multiple different mental health concerns. Learning about the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is an important step in the therapy process. Once we have awareness, we can learn skills to teach ourselves how to overcome our thoughts and make change.

Supportive

You are the expert of you. I am here to help support you in your journey in reaching the goals you would like to achieve.

Psychoeducation

I believe in helping you build a toolbox of skills. Education and practice is a highly effective way to do that. Together, we identify what skills or information might be beneficial and how to apply them in your own life.
