Hi, my name is Sidney Johnson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the state of Illinois. I am a guy who worked through his own trauma, and has found passion in helping others do the same.

I received my Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University, and my clinical training on the south side of Chicago.
First session
In our first session we will get to know one another. I will tell you a little about myself, and get to know a little about you. We will establish safety and comfort so that we can build a rapport that continues to grow as long as we work together.
Strengths
My greatest strength as a provider is that I have learned from my own experiences, as well as the theoretical, clinical perspectives learned through my education and training, giving me a unique ability to understand and actually help my clients.

I enjoy working with individuals who want to become the best version of themselves, and I enjoy helping them work towards that goal.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This therapist has been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
EMDR
Therapist uses EMDR to address traumatic memories to help client relieve symptoms of PTSD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and other disorders in which symptoms are marked by flashbacks, thought ruminations, intrusive thoughts, and other psychological reactions to trauma.
Narrative
Therapist uses a strength based approach while using narrative therapy to empower clients through telling their own stories.
