Priscilla completed her bachelor of science in nursing from Walden University and continued to pursue her masters of science in Mental Health in Walden University. After graduation, she went on to receive her certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. PMHNP-BC, My Philosophy of treatment is ‘patient centered”. My methodology begins with empathic listening to my patients and working as a team, I provide diagnosis and various treatment options available to them, explaining pros and cons and empowering my patients to make sound choices based on evidence-based medicine. I believe in providing attentive care in a congenial atmosphere to reduce or eliminate sufferings. Priscilla is passionate about mental health and making sure you are on the right treatment plan!
In the first session with me as a psychotherapist, clients can expect a welcoming introduction, a review of confidentiality, exploration of their background and reasons for seeking therapy, collaborative goal-setting, a brief explanation of the therapeutic approach, and an opportunity to ask questions and discuss expectations, with the goal of establishing a foundation for a positive and effective therapeutic relationship.
I used patient centered care method, I utilized screening tools such as PHQ-9, for depression, GAD-7 for anxiety, MDQ mood disorder questionnaire and sometimes ASRS for ADHD.
