I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in anxiety disorders, including OCD, PTSD, phobias, social anxiety, and eating disorders. With a client-centered approach and a family systems background, I love to work with individuals, couples, and families to overcome challenges, improve relationships, and foster lasting change. My goal is to provide compassionate, effective therapy tailored to each person’s unique needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other and building a trusting relationship. We'll discuss your current challenges, goals, and any relevant history, as I conduct a thorough intake assessment. This helps me understand your unique needs and tailor our work together. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and supported, setting the foundation for a collaborative, effective therapy process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength as a provider lies in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can be their authentic selves and feel comfortable letting down their guard. I take a straightforward approach, guiding clients with clarity and focus to help them achieve their goals and make meaningful and measurable progress in therapy.

My treatment methods

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

Through repeated exposure and learning new coping skills, ERP helps break the cycle of anxiety, allowing you to regain control and build confidence in handling distressing situations. This evidence-based approach has been proven effective for treating various anxiety disorders, including OCD, phobias, and generalized anxiety.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT helps individuals increase psychological flexibility by teaching them to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoid or control them. The goal is to live a meaningful life aligned with personal values, even in the presence of discomfort.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling helps partners improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationship. In therapy, you'll learn to understand each other better, address negative patterns, and build a deeper connection through effective communication and problem-solving. The goal is to create a healthier, more fulfilling partnership.

Family Therapy

Family therapy helps improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships within the family. It focuses on understanding family dynamics, addressing negative patterns, and improving how family members interact. The goal is to create a supportive, harmonious family environment where everyone feels heard and valued.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) is a treatment for trauma-related disorders, such as PTSD. It helps individuals confront and process traumatic memories in a safe, controlled way. By gradually exposing you to reminders of the trauma, PE helps reduce distress over time, allowing you to gain control over your memories and reactions. The goal is to decrease avoidance, reduce trauma-related symptoms, and help you live a more functional, fulfilling life.
