My name is Elizabeth and I am grateful that you are here. I believe that people are capable of meaningful change, even when life feels overwhelming or when they feel stuck. Reaching out for therapy can be difficult, and I have a lot of respect for the inherent grit it takes to begin this process. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, where you can speak openly, feel understood, and explore what’s going on in your life without judgment. I see therapy as a collaborative process. We work together to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and discover new ways of moving forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be spent learning about each other. Understanding what you need and how I can best support you. It will be an opportunity to gather information about your background so we can work together to make a plan for your success.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have spent the past several years as a supervisor supporting other therapists. I am returning to directly working with individuals as I feel that is the most important and meaningful role I can play. I am compassionate, non-judgmental and understand the value of humor especially when life brings challenges. In our work together, you can expect to be heard, respected, and supported at your own pace.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Everyone’s story is different, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from different therapeutic perspectives depending on what will be most helpful for you. Sometimes our work may focus on practical tools and strategies; other times it may involve deeper reflection and exploration. Most often, it’s a mix of both. What matters most to me is building a genuine connection and supporting you in a way that feels meaningful. I believe that therapy can be a place not only for healing, but also for growth, self-understanding, and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is foundational to my practice as it provides clients with concrete tools to improve their ability to cope with life stressors. CBT provides a road map to understanding patterned ways of thinking and acting. It also provides real time strategies to manage stress, depression, and anxiety in a new way to improve our perspectives and lives.

Psychodynamic

Our early relationships and experiences can powerfully influence present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By exploring these past experiences, individuals gain insight into patterns that may be affecting their current lives. This deeper understanding can guide meaningful change that aligns with who they want to become, while also strengthening their ability to build healthier relationships and navigate present-day challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based practices play a key role in helping us manage everyday anxiety and stress, as well as navigate particularly challenging situations. These practices also help us become more aware of and responsive to our emotional and physical needs in ways we may not have previously recognized.
