Welcome to therapy I am excited to embark on this journey with you. It takes courage to seek therapy, and you should be proud of yourself for taking this step towards healing and growth. A little about me: my name is Nicole. I've been in private practice for more than 5 years. I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Jose State University. During graduate school, I completed an internship with former foster youth and and worked as a social worker at Stanford Children's Hospital in the oncology and stem cell transplant center. I spent some time working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital as well as hospice. I am now the interim Manager of a Behavioral Health Department. I continue to do therapy because I truly love connecting with people who are looking to grow and enrich their lives. During our sessions, I will listen attentively and non-judgmentally to what you have to say. I will ask thought-provoking questions and offer insights and feedback to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your situation. Most importantly, I will be here to support you, encourage you, and help you build the confidence and resilience needed to achieve your goals. Remember, therapy is a collaborative effort, and your active participation and honesty will be crucial to your success. You’ve come this far in finding a therapist, so you’re already taking the right steps in embracing change. I believe in your ability to make meaningful changes in your life and look forward to working with you. Let’s get started!
During the first session we will get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy.
In therapy, you will have a safe, supportive and confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Together, we will work towards a greater self-awareness, understanding and acceptance. You can expect to learn more skills and coping strategies to help manage emotions, relationships and stressful situations.

I use Solution-Focused Therapy because it emphasizes your strengths and focuses on creating practical, achievable steps toward your goals. Instead of dwelling on the problem, we work together to build solutions and move forward. It’s a collaborative, empowering approach that helps you create meaningful change in your life.
I use psychoeducation to help you better understand what you’re experiencing and why. When you have the right information, you’re more equipped to make sense of your thoughts and feelings—and to take steps toward healing.
