Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Virginia. I received my Masters from Marist College in New York and have been practicing for 7 years. I help adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem work to create the life that aligns with each clients goals. I believe it's important to meet each client where they are at in their journey and develop a plan forward together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, my main goal is to collect background information about your experience, life, and goals so we can make a plan of what areas to work on together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I aim to hold sessions at the pace of each client. I really try to focus on real world scenarios and direct experiences in the clients life when teaching skills or exploring thoughts and emotions. I have found my clients have the most success when they are able to see how it is directly impacting them or a skill may look like in practice from their direct experience.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have been trained in person centered therapy since I was in graduate school. I did my internship at a group foster care placement that really emphasized the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship to help provide a safe space. This is a core part of my practice, I believe it is important to meet every client where they are at in their journey and finding goals and skills that fit their life instead of trying to take a one size fits all approach.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

During my post education residency l was trained and supervised with utilizing CBT. I have found that CBT skills mixed with person centered approach can help clients create long lasting change based on their goals.
