Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you're here. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Christian Counselor, and Certified NLP Life Coach. I am the founder of Caterpillar Counseling LLC, and my guiding motto is "Where we make changes from the inside out." I believe that counseling is a transformative journey—a chance for you to learn more about yourself and experience healing. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate this process, helping you build resilience and security in who you are. With my diverse experiences, I bring a unique perspective and understanding to my work, allowing me to effectively guide you through the changes you’re ready to make. In our sessions, I take a holistic approach, addressing the mind, body, and soul, knowing that we are all interconnected. Every person is different, so I make sure our work together is personalized to your needs, with you actively involved in the decisions that shape your treatment. I’ve seen firsthand how truth can be a powerful catalyst for change, and I believe in the freedom that comes with embracing it. The big question is: Are you ready to change? If you’re open to doing the work, then I’m here to support you every step of the way. I would be honored to walk this journey with you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will inspire hope, showing that change is possible, that you are not alone, and that you are truly heard and understood.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with various clients during different stages of change. My strength lies in being client-centered and creating a safe environment for them.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Women at various stages of life who are looking for guidance and transformation, offering a safe space to explore their struggles, rebuild their faith, and work toward mental well-being. This would be women between the ages of 24 and 80 who are dealing with depression and anxiety, possibly compounded by a crisis of faith. These women feel disconnected from their spiritual practices or are grappling with doubts about their beliefs. They may be seeking healing or a renewed sense of purpose and could benefit from my approach to therapy that integrates faith-based perspectives with emotional and mental health support.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT because it is structured, goal-oriented, and evidence-based, offering practical strategies to address negative thought patterns and behaviors. It empowers clients by teaching skills they can use independently and focuses on achieving measurable progress in a short amount of time. Its versatility in treating a range of issues and adaptability to various settings.

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling is a powerful modality used in my practice because it integrates faith-based principles with traditional therapeutic approaches, offering clients a holistic path toward healing. By drawing on biblical teachings, prayer, and spiritual guidance, Christian counseling helps individuals find hope, purpose, and strength in their relationship with God. It also provides a safe space for clients to explore and address their struggles through the lens of their faith, fostering emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed care (TIC) is crucial in creating a safe and empowering environment for clients who have experienced trauma. It helps build trust, fosters client autonomy, and promotes holistic healing by acknowledging the impact of trauma on emotions, behavior, and relationships. TIC reduces the risk of re-traumatization and improves client outcomes by offering compassionate and effective support tailored to each individual’s needs.
