Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

At the first session I will listen to what you want to accomplish, what particular problems or goals you have, or if you are just trying to reach a higher ground. Also, a history about your past will be done and then we can decide if we want to move further and develop a treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am well versed in past trauma, hold a specialty license in substance use disorder, and trained in integration therapy for use with psychedelics, currently working with Ketamine for PTSD and depression. I am also well versed in various cultures & religions, specifically Italian-American Catholic culture.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My experiences create my ability to be a good therapist. I came from a place of chaos where many clients may be; survived the dysfunctional family scapegoating and gaslighting, self-medicating it all with various substances and behaviors back in the day and I understand the lasting effects of the trauma. If you were raised in such an environment of not being heard, or currently living in one, you may enjoy working with me. I know what it's like to be told that "you're imagining it or you're too sensitive, too dramatic or too deep". I'm an empath and learned to develop it. If you feel you are also "highly sensitive and/or spiritually inclined" or are interested in learning about how to raise your level of consciousness in order to change your life, consider contacting me.

Sandy is amazing. She is the first person to really listen to my concerns and help me move forward in a way that I know I am going to have the best successful outcome. Sandy genuinely listens and I hope I get to continue having her help moving forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am well versed in cognitive-behavioral therapies especially for substance use disorder. If the client is younger and not so knowledgable I stay with basic cognitive-behavioral skills.

Existential

If my client is older and/or seasoned about their problem I move into existential issues, with the focus often on "meaning or purpose in life".

Faith based therapy

I was raised Catholic and never really left. However I have opened myself up to learn about all the world religions and over the past decade have concluded that the Godhead is consciousness itself. That does not mean that I have turned my back on Jesus Christ. I still most deeply follow the Christian philosophy, meditations, and will still attend Catholic masses. I view religion as a "man made social institution" and spirituality as "my relationship with God".

Jungian

In general I tend toward psychoanalytic, seeking the unconscious and facing the shadow in talk therapy. I follow Jung and strongly believe in the collective consciousness/unconsciousness (Akashic Record) and will work with some of the metaphysical alternative methods such as energy, EMDR, tarot, hypnosis, as long as I feel the patient is prepared to do so.

Transpersonal

I especially enjoy working with specialty or challenging clients who have paranormal events, extra sensitivities and/or are trying to ascend to a higher dimension of reality. I am trained in integration therapy for use with psychedelics and work with ketamine now so I can work with psychedelic experiences or non-ordinary states of consciousness.
