I have a background in community mental health leadership, psychological testing, and university counseling, and have extensive experience in treating a wide variety of emotional issues and psychiatric conditions. I have a passion for all things mental health related since a teen, and have had the privilege of working as a Psychologist for well over 25 years. I enjoy leading complex clinical mental health operations for patients and families and have a straightforward vision in delivering interventions and support, destigmatizing mental healthcare, and being a leader on approaches to revolutionary mental health treatment. I emphasize creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. My sessions tend to be conversational and reflective, and I make space for both structure and flexibility depending on what you’re needing in the moment.
The first session is crucial for building trust and a comfortable atmosphere where you feel safe to share your experiences. I will gather information, including history and background and answer questions you might have about the therapeutic process. It is a good time to determine whether you feel the relationship might be a good fit.
I have an extensive history and success building strong, interactive and supportive therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages and presentations of emotional issues, diagnoses and challenges. In addition to direct client care, my professional career has included leadership roles where I’ve guided clinical teams and shaped mental health programming at the executive level. I bring a balanced blend of hands-on therapeutic experience and strategic insight to support lasting, meaningful change. Whether through direct client treatment or leadership, my focus has always been on empowering people and promoting emotional wellbeing with empathy and compassion.
Specific areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, life transitions, as well as more serious mental health issues including symptoms of psychosis.

My focus is genuineness and creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and empowered to explore their feelings and experiences.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In addition to a warm, accepting environment, and once a client feels at ease and comfortable, a cognitive behavioral can help individuals understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. We can begin to reframe and challenge certain negative ways of thinking that might contribute to maladaptive behaviors.
