Welcome, I'm so happy you are here :) Using Christian Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (C-CBT), I love using my 14+ years of expertise in helping adults experiencing Anxiety + Stress. Sometimes anxiety can feel generalized (i.e., getting "worked up" over the "small stuff"), or it can be more specific such as when it's the result of a life detour or an unexpected new beginning. My clients are adults who are faced with unexpected change, struggling with living in the moment, or are tired of settling for stress-based thoughts. They are ready to live with the ease & clarity that comes from having an unshakeable relationship with God. I help clients learn how to use what the Word of God says about you + your situation in order to rise above anything. My clients are ready to meet life's uncertainty from a place of internal certainty grounded in Scripture.
In our initial teletherapy appointment, I create a warm space where we can discuss your therapeutic goals and answer any questions for you. I will also ask specific questions about your experiences in order to serve you best. I hope you have a wonderful day :)
My greatest strength as a provider is that I can see through any adversity to extract the lesson to be learned and the gift to be gained, as well as the ability to transform anxiety/transition/stress from being an impediment...to an impetus for a deeper relationship with God. In our sessions together, I create a warm and non-judgmental space where we can help you organize your thoughts, derive meaning from adversity, and bring forth your God-given resiliency. After client sessions, I have been told clients feel more confident in their ability to see daily experiences more positively, feel more grounded and have a renewed perspective on their current situation & life :)
With Christian Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (C-CBT), unhelpful thoughts are replaced with truths arising from God's Word, leading to healthier emotional & behavioral experiences that align with God's Will for your life. More specifically, Christian Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (C-CBT) is an integration of traditional cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques with Christian principles and values. CBT is a widely used psychological treatment that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns, behaviors, and emotions, aiming to improve mental health. In Christian Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, this approach is adapted to include elements from the Christian faith, such as scripture, prayer, and biblical teachings. The duration of C-CBT varies among each client but typically consists of 3-5 months of weekly 50-60-minute sessions.
