New to Grow
The therapeutic relationship is at the center of my practice and always has been. All of the work that we do together will stem from the connection that we build and move forward from there. I find it important to ground our therapy in trust, then we can begin to explore your unconscious emotional experience as a way to understand how you navigate your present. I feel best equipped to work with adolescents and young adults who wish to address self-exploration and identity development, navigation of conflict, and the impact of trauma on your current life experiences. I integrate the intersection of therapeutic work and social justice work whenever possible, ensuring that our work is contextualized within and in opposition to the oppressive systems that govern our society. Additionally, as a school social worker, I am also able to assist with any school-based concerns you may be experiencing.
In our first session you will be met with warmth, humor, and the space you deserve to explore and understand who you are.
I think of your therapy as a mirror. My job will be to help you understand yourself better through my growing understanding of you. Every question I ask, challenge I pose, coping skill I suggest will be intentional with the aim towards our collectively deepening understanding of who you are.
I work best with individuals 14-26 of all gender, sexuality, and racial experiences. I hope to engage in therapeutic work with young people who want to explore who they are through the lenses of their relationships, trauma, and societal impact. I believe that therapy should be seen as an equivalent for the mind as what visiting a PCP is for the body, we should be checking in on our mental wellness regularly. I hope to work with folks who align with that understanding of what therapy can be for them .
