I am based in Florida and provide psychiatric care through both in-person and telehealth services. I have several years of experience in the mental health field, working with diverse populations in both outpatient and inpatient settings. As a dual-certified provider in mental health and family practice, I take a holistic and individualized approach to care, recognizing that each patient has unique needs and goals. I value an integrated treatment style that encourages collaboration and patient involvement throughout the care process. My goal is to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, validated, and empowered in making decisions about their mental health and overall well-being.
During your first appointment, we will take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you in for care. I will ask questions about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, stressors, and any previous treatment experiences. This initial session is designed to help me gain a full understanding of your needs while also giving you the opportunity to share your goals, ask questions, and discuss any concerns you may have about treatment. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I believe patients should feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in their care. Together, we will begin developing a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, and other holistic strategies tailored to your individual needs and preferences. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, stress management, or overall mental wellness, my goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space where you feel validated and supported throughout your journey.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to listen with compassion, build meaningful therapeutic relationships, and create individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s unique experiences and goals. I strive to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable being open and honest about their challenges. What stands out about my approach is the balance between evidence-based treatment and holistic care. As a dual-certified provider in mental health and family practice, I consider the connection between emotional, physical, and lifestyle factors when developing treatment plans. I value collaboration and believe patients should play an active role in their care, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the process. I focus on practical, realistic treatment strategies that support long-term wellness rather than temporary symptom relief alone. My goal is to help patients improve their overall quality of life by addressing not only symptoms, but also stress management, coping skills, emotional resilience, and healthy daily functioning.

One of the greats. I have never had issue with services provided and always feel better after our talks. Even when the conversations are tough to have, I come away with new insights on how to keep improving. It's hard to find someone you can trust, so I stick with the people I do.

I cannot recommend Phara Metellus, DNP enough!!! After years of constantly changing providers, finding someone compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely easy to talk to has been life-changing. She listens, remembers details, and makes you feel comfortable instead of rushed or judged. Her new practice feels personal, patient-centered, and thoughtfully built. I’m incredibly grateful I found her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality mental healthcare.
