Hi! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California with over 20 years of experience in the counseling field and more than 9 years in private practice. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento, and have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of settings. Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients of all ages—from children and adolescents to adults and caregivers—helping them navigate life’s challenges and grow into the best versions of themselves. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma, or life transitions, my approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to create meaningful change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll begin with brief introductions and start building a strong, collaborative working relationship. This initial meeting is a space for you to share what brings you to therapy, and for me to gain a better understanding of your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. We'll explore the specific concerns you're currently facing—whether they’re related to stress, relationships, anxiety, past trauma, or other life transitions. This conversation helps lay the foundation for our work together and allows me to begin developing a personalized plan that fits your needs. From there, our follow-up sessions will be focused, supportive, and guided by clear goals to help you make meaningful progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with individuals navigating a variety of life challenges over the past nine years, I’ve developed a practical and compassionate approach to therapy. I help clients (a) uncover the root causes of their struggles—whether emotional, relational, or situational—and (b) create personalized, actionable plans that support meaningful and measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

In addition, I have found great fulfillment in supporting caregivers as they navigate behavioral challenges with their children. I offer practical parenting strategies rooted in evidence-based approaches, while also focusing on strengthening the parent-child relationship through improved communication, emotional attunement, and connection-building skills. I also deeply value working with clients who are facing the lasting impacts of past trauma. It’s a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they begin to heal, process their experiences, and grow into more empowered, grounded versions of themselves. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to meet each person where they are in their healing journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my clinical work with clients, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care to support healing and strengthen interpersonal relationships. These evidence-based approaches allow me to address both immediate concerns and underlying patterns rooted in trauma, stress, or behavioral challenges. With CBT, I help reframe unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. This is especially effective for those struggling with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or oppositional behaviors. Clients are guided in using consistent, supportive strategies that promote emotional awareness and problem-solving. Trauma-informed care is woven throughout my work. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive therapeutic environment and validating the impact that trauma can have on a client's functioning. I work to rebuild trust, enhance regulation skills, and promote secure attachment at the client's pace that respects their readiness. Together, these approaches form a flexible, compassionate, and effective framework that supports long-term healing and growth.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my clinical work with clients, I integrate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and trauma-informed care to support healing and strengthen interpersonal relationships. These evidence-based approaches allow me to address both immediate concerns and underlying patterns rooted in trauma, stress, or behavioral challenges. Through a Solution-Focused lens, I emphasize the client's strengths and resilience. I collaborate with clients to identify what’s working, set clear goals, and build on past successes—fostering hope and motivation for change, even in complex or high-stress situations.
