New to Grow
I am a Therapist by trade but my character of kindness, congruence, compassion, and directness have made my previous clients feel seen, heard and understood. I enjoy being upbeat and using humor but also am able to keep professionalism and tact. My goal is to build a space of trust, safety collaboration as I am on this wellness journey with you.
In our first session we will go over confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Then after that, my goal is to build trust and rapport with you and that will be my goal before we attempt to "fix" anything.
I am a person who is expressive and tailor my self to what you need in session. I can sit and hold space while I can also be direct and challenge unhealthy behaviors/ thoughts in a way that does not feel disrespectful or invalidating.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
've been using CBT in my practice for the past five years. It's helped dozens of clients challenge recurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We'll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with one another. We'll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a more relaxed and less stressful life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I will use techniques from DBT to help you find better ways to have healthy communication with your friends, family and coworkers, learn how to cope during distressing events, find coping skills for your emotions and radically accept difficult situations in your life that you may not be able to change. We will use these tools to relax and ease your mind and body in a healthy way.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma informed care is the ability to understand the impacts of experiencing any traumatic event or continuous history of trauma on the person's mental health symptoms and world viewpoint. My goal is to help you explore your concerns and provide compassionate care, safety, choice, collaboration and trust.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe you are the only person who knows you best. My mindset for treatment comes from a person centered approach treats you as a unique human being rather than focusing solely on their condition or disability. It emphasizes understanding what matters to you in your like in all aspects noy solely one area or concern.
