Hello and thank you for taking a chance on therapy, reaching out is one of the hardest parts and you are taking the first step. Finding a fitting therapist is a big part of your success in therapy, so if it does not initially work out, remember you can find a suitable option. Our initial meeting will be a 15-minute consultation to ensure we are compatible for each other to maximize your therapeutic experience. I am a Texas State University graduate. I have experience in multiple settings including schools, hospitals, inpatient treatment facilities, and group practices. This has allowed me to work with diverse humans and engage many different therapeutic styles. I have a passion for creating space for my community of BIPOC, ADHD, parents, and LGBTQIA. I support adolescents and adults. Outside of the office, I spend a lot of time in nature as this is a healing place for me that I like to encourage others to consider as a therapeutic tool. My immediate family consists of my Wife, 2 kiddos, and lots of pets. We spend time together hiking/exploring nature, joining city-wide events, finding new parks to play and walk the dogs, and cooking new recipes. Reach out if you find yourself aligning with my style, I look forward to supporting and growing with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will work together to complete an intake assessment. This helps me have a baseline understanding of contributing factors and areas of support. I will walk you though questions at your own pace and work on setting goals for therapy. After this session, we will move into more conversational dialogue and start working together on processing experiences, feelings, and needs.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I believe in meeting the client where they are and holding space for growth. I take a holistic approach to support and look at the entire system. I utilize cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, family systems, solution-focused, trauma-focused, and strength-based approaches. I understand that one approach to therapy does not work for everyone’s need, so in collaboration with the client, I assess for best method for each individual and adjust as needed.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Areas I am passionate about supporting are parents struggling with parenthood, family issues, childhood trauma, social justice/racism, identity/sexuality, teen challenges including school support, self-esteem, black/brown folks, and neurodivergent people. I am not limited to this scope but have gained more training or personal experiences in these areas to provide more support.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have spent time and energy creating space for LGBTQIA, Brown and Black Folks, Parents, Teens, Young Adults.
