I have twenty-five years of healthcare experience, most of which was in military medicine. I started my career as a mental health specialist and worked in inpatient psychiatric wards. I later became an RN and worked in Medical-Surgical Nursing. I then earned my Family Nurse Practitioner and worked in Family Medicine in the Primary Care Role. After retiring from the Army, I went back to school to obtain my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, as I was drawn back to Mental Health, where it all began for me. While working in healthcare for the past 25 years, I have experienced the value of human connection between caregiver and patient in various roles and settings. Every individual I have provided care for has their own story, a unique set of experiences that has shaped them. Understanding these individual differences helps establish individual plans of care. Upon establishing a therapeutic relationship with my clients, I strive to learn their stories and help them overcome their struggles. I aim to help clients find meaning and purpose, improve their quality of life, and achieve contentment. I have named my clinic after “eudaimonia,” which means ‘good spirit’ and is translated from Greek simply as ‘happiness.’ Eudaimonia is described as the condition of human flourishing, and this philosophy

I have 25 years of healthcare experience in a variety of settings. This diversity of experience has shaped my philosophy of holistic care. I value communication, therapeutic rapport, and human connection. No one knows you better than you know yourself. My job is to help empower my clients and develop a care plan together with them rather than dictate what they need to do to be better.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing how you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems. CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and actions are interconnected and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a negative cycle.
Motivational interviewing is a counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities and find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that considers how difficult it is to make life changes.
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy builds upon the principles of cognitive therapy by using techniques such as mindfulness meditation to teach people to consciously pay attention to their thoughts and feelings without placing any judgments upon them.

I've needed to find a therapist for a long time and when I queried Psychology Today his photo came up and I knew immediately that this was someone that could help me. He's warm and so easy to talk to He listens but also interjects his thoughts and possible solutions which is wonderful. I've been on the same roller coaster for too long and he's going to help me get off so I can look at myself and my situation in a more positive light. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Was really down depressed, feeling like ending It all turns out I am diagnosed with something I didn’t even think was wrong with me. He was really upfront and let me be in control of my solution. He also request labs. To make sure that the meds you are taking aren’t messing with you physically all in all he is easy to talk to. He listens very well and is not judgmental. I would recommend him to anybody.
