Great to meet you! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 11 years of experience working with clients to help them feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives. It is important to me to make you feel heard and not judged. I will help you stay accountable to your desired goals and walk beside you on this journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session we will get to know one another a little to see if we are a good fit to work together. It is my opinion that people need to feel comfortable opening up and being vulnerable with a therapist or it will not be helpful. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to express your feelings and help you identify goals that we will work on together during our sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having helped so many individuals and couples overcome obstacles that have been holding them back from living their desired lives over the past 11 years, I have developed some tried-and-true strategies to help you elicit change quickly and start living the fulfilling life you deserve. I have been told I am a great motivator and am good at gently challenging my clients to make positive changes. I am ready to do this with you!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

i love watching my clients as they begin to learn and practice skills to better their lives or situations in some way. I enjoy working with couples who want to deepen their relationship or foster improved communication skills and build intimacy, people who are struggling with esteem issues, individuals who are experiencing anxiety or depression and individuals who in recovery and are looking for someone to help them with accountability.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

I help my clients get out of their heads and into their bodies. I help people do this by teaching mindfulness strategies.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients become aware of how thoughts dictate emotions that dictate behaviors. I help clients learn and practice strategies to help them change behaviors by addressing their negative thoughts that may be driving negative emotions and unproductive behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I help clients develop skills to gain control over their ability to regulate their emotions.

EMDR

I have helped clients who have suffered traumatic events in their lives be able to reduce the way those events impact them viscerally.
